Malton Dickensian Festival

News and Events, Places to Visit, Things to Do

In December Malton holds its now annual Dickensian Festival, celebrating the association between Malton and the writer Charles Dickens – his brother and his best friend lived in Malton and as result he visited often.  It is believed that  Scrooge’s Counting House from “A Christmas Carol” is based on the Counting House in Malton.

If you are up visting Malton for the Festival in 2020 and beyond, why not consider staying with us in our near by self catering holiday cottages?
