Cliff House is home to five individual self-catering holiday cottages in Ebberston, North Yorkshire, ideally placed between Pickering and Scarborough and on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.
Our cottages range in size, making Cliff House a good base for couples, families, friends and larger groups looking to spend time together in North Yorkshire. Each has its own character, with comfortable living spaces, well-equipped kitchens and everything you need to settle in and make the cottage your own for a few days or a longer stay.
Stay in one cottage and enjoy your own space, or bring family and friends together across several cottages. All five can be booked together for groups of up to 19 people, giving everyone their own front door while still staying in the same place.
Step outside and you are well placed for days on the North York Moors, trips to the Yorkshire coast, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from nearby Pickering, or exploring market towns and villages including Malton, Helmsley and Thornton-le-Dale.

A stay at Cliff House is about more than the cottage itself. Set within around two acres of gardens, orchard and woodland, our North Yorkshire holiday cottages have shared spaces and facilities that give you more ways to enjoy your time here.
At the heart of Cliff House is our indoor heated swimming pool, with private swimming sessions allocated to each cottage during the day. Above the pool, the games room has pool and table tennis, with an honesty shop for a few useful extras, as well some locally produced crafts.
Outside, there is space to wander, play or just sit for a while. Explore the gardens and orchard, follow the woodland paths, visit the pond, feed the chickens and ducks, or spend time around the woodland firepit.
There is also secure cycle storage, on-site EV charging, dedicated parking for every cottage and dog-friendly accommodation for guests bringing four-legged family members.
It all means you can spend one day exploring the North York Moors or Yorkshire coast, and the next enjoying everything here at Cliff House.

Cliff House is well placed for exploring some of the best of North Yorkshire, with the North York Moors, the Yorkshire coast, market towns, villages and family attractions all within easy reach.
Head towards Pickering for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, continue into the National Park for walking, cycling and wide-open moorland, or spend the day on the coast at Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay or Sandsend. Malton, Helmsley and Thornton-le-Dale are all close enough for an easy day out, with independent shops, cafés, markets and plenty of local character.
There is no shortage of choice if you prefer to stay active either, from walking straight from the village and cycling in Dalby Forest to castles, gardens, museums and heritage attractions across the area.
Whether you are planning full days out or just deciding where to go over breakfast, Cliff House gives you a central base for discovering both the North York Moors and the Yorkshire coast.
