CLIFF HOUSE HOLIDAY COTTAGES
Cliff House Holiday Cottages with Swimming Pool in North Yorkshire
Cliff House Holiday Cottages is a small, family run collection of self catering holiday cottages half way between Pickering and Scarborough, nestled on the edge of the breathtaking North York Moors National Park, offer a wonderful self-catering experience with all the comforts of home.. Set within gardens and woodland, the cottages offer shared facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool and games room, making them well suited to families, couples, and small groups looking for space and flexibility.
We live on site and look after the cottages ourselves, which allows us to offer a relaxed, well managed place to stay, rather than a resort style experience.
Stays at Cliff House are shaped by the setting as much as the accommodation. Guests have space to spread out across gardens and woodland, easy access to the coast and countryside, and shared facilities that can be enjoyed little and often.
Many of our guests return year after year for the same reasons: a calm base, practical facilities, and the feeling of being somewhere that works equally well for time together and time apart.
I cannot recommend this place enough. From the moment we arrived we felt very relaxed, from the little personal touches in the rooms with homemade cookies and bread, to the beautiful gardens this place is a little treasure.
The location is so beautiful and the hosts were warm, welcoming and so helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again!
Create Lasting Memories at Cliff House Holiday Cottages
Our larger cottages at Cliff House Holiday Cottages are well suited to autumn stays, with open fires that provide a comfortable setting for evenings spent indoors. Guests staying at Cliff House Holiday Cottages have shared access to an indoor heated swimming pool, which is 9 metres in length and operated using a timed rota system. A shared games room is also available and includes pool and table tennis.
For families, there is a toy lending library and a wide selection of books suitable for children of different ages. Younger guests can also help feed the chickens kept on site, which is often a memorable part of the stay.
The cottages are set within approximately two acres of gardens and woodland. Outdoor facilities include RoSPA tested play equipment, nature exploration features such as magnifying posts, and a woodland clearing used for campfires. Benches and picnic tables are positioned throughout the grounds, providing spaces to sit, eat, and spend time together outdoors.
The village pub in Ebberston is dog friendly and located around a three minute walk from the cottages. It serves food and is a convenient option for guests who would like to eat out locally during their stay.
A Family Run Place to Stay
We are Jacqueline and Alastair, and we have run Cliff House Holiday Cottages since 2020, when we upped sticks from South Yorkshire with our family to come to this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Living on site means we are available when needed, while leaving guests to enjoy their stay without intrusion. As relative new comers to this part of North Yorkshire, we have done a lot of exploring ourselves, and can offer inspiration for days out and shorter trips (or have a quick look at all the things that you can do without traveling far). Being a family-run business, we take immense pride in the outstanding reviews we’ve received from our valued guests. Don’t hesitate to browse through our reviews and see for yourself the wonderful experiences others have had at our Holiday Cottages in Yorkshire.
