- Whitby is just 40 minutes away by car, or let the train take the strain and take the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from nearby Pickering for a classic day trip to the coast for fish and chips, a walk up to the Abbey and a return trip on the train.
- Scarborough is just 25 minutes away from us and offers big beaches, amusement arcades, an old town and castle to explore as well as a Sea Life Centre.
- Filey is an easy 25 minutes away. In 1806 The Gentleman’s Magazine described Filey as an escape from the boisterous crowds of Scarborough and a place of simple pleasures. It even has its own kite flying festival and is great for long beach walks (when the tide is out ????).

For the foodie in you, we are near Malton – the Food Capital of Yorkshire and market day on Mondays in Pickering is not to be missed.
