We have a number of walks direct from the front door of our cottages that take you in to nearby Dalby Forest, or with a short drive you can be striding out along the edge of the Hole of Horcum which legend tells was made by a giant! Or drive to the fabulous Yorkshire Coast and walk between fishing villages or walk along long sandy beaches.
Each of our cottages comes with a local map, suggested walks and binoculars for your to use during your stay. We are also dog friendly, so no need to find kennels for your furry friend. Making Cliff House an ideal base for your walking break. To add to walking holiday we have a number of suggested routes on our website.
Added to that, as we live at Cliff House we are usually always on hand to give advice as to walks, also places to visit and places to eat. And if if that’s not enough, we have a local pub just three minutes walk away that serves hearty food.

Our five holiday cottages in North Yorkshire are just on the edge of the North York Moors National Park and 20 minutes from the Yorkshire Coast. Half way between the market town of Pickering and the seaside town of Scarborough, we offer a perfect year round base for exploring the foodie delights of the area. Our range of five cottages include a 6 person cottage with one en suite and a further 2 bathrooms, as well as smaller cottages suitable for couples and people travelling own their own. All of our cottages are set within 2 acres of grounds, are dog friendly and all cottages have access to our indoor heated swimming pool. As “Walking Friendly” accommodation, we supply maps and local guide books with details of lots of local walks – also as we live on site we are also on hand to recommend a walk or two!
