Tour de Yorkshire 2020

News and Events, Things to Do

The route of the Tour de Yorkshire cycling road race has been announced.  With Stage One of le Tour starting on Thursday the 30th of April 2020 in Beverley and finishing 176km away in Redcar in the far north of the county.  The route will take competitors along the scenic North Yorkshire Coast, taking in the likes of Bridlington, Whitby and Sandsend.  More information about the route can be found out by visiting the race website.  Here’s hoping the weather is better than last year’s Road World Championships in September, which was hosted by Yorkshire.

If you’re thinking of coming to see the race, we are just a few miles from Scarborough, where the race goes around the town.  The majority of the route is within an easy hour’s drive of where we are.  To find our more, have a look at our cottages.
