There is a new version of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s children’s novel The Secret Garden starring Colin Firth (he also stared in the 1987 film version!) and Julie Walters coming to cinemas in early 2020. Set locally within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, locations include Helmsley Walled Garden (the secret garden), Helmsley Castle and Duncombe Park in Helmsley, and also in the daffodil valley of Farndale.
