The two classical temples at either end of the terrace add to its character, and the Ionic Temple is worth exploring for its elegant interiors.

Close to Helmsley and Cliff House

Both Rievaulx Abbey and Terrace are located just a few miles from Helmsley, a bustling market town known for its independent shops, historic sites, and local food. Helmsley is a great place to stop for lunch or explore further before or after your visit to Rievaulx.  You can walk from Helmsley to Reivaulx and can vary it with passing through Duncombe Park
