A Private Chef Experience in Our Orangery

At Cliff House Holiday Cottages, we love helping our guests create special memories, and today was no exception. Our Orangery—a space that’s at the heart of our gardens—became the setting for a truly unique birthday celebration, complete with incredible food, great company, and a personal touch.

Our guests wanted something a little different for their birthday lunch, so they invited Gilly from The Cooks Place in Malton to be their private chef for the afternoon. Gilly, known for her passion for locally sourced ingredients and expertly crafted dishes, put together a feast to remember, with the help of Rob from Roost Coffee in Malton, ensuring that every detail was just right.

The Orangery provided the perfect setting—offering a blend of indoor and outdoor dining, surrounded by views of our gardens. It’s a space that doesn’t get used enough, but today it was transformed into something truly special.

This got us thinking—why not offer more experiences like this? Whether it’s a private dining experience, a family gathering, or a group getaway, the Orangery at Cliff House could be the perfect place for an intimate meal, wine tasting, or even a whisky tasting.

If you’re staying with us and would love to book a private chef or dining experience, get in touch—we’d love to help you arrange something memorable!
