Spend four nights away with family and friends on the edge of the North York Moors National Park this Christmas. Start the holiday by tiring the kids out on Christmas Eve with a refreshing walk in Dalby Forest, followed by a splash in our very own indoor swimming pool.

On Christmas Day, enjoy a festive dip in the pool to start the day on a high note, before sitting down for your holiday lunch. Later, take a stroll up to King Alfred’s Cave in the local woods, where you’ll be treated to stunning views across the Vale of Pickering—a perfect way to clear your head and enjoy the crisp winter air.

For Boxing Day, head into Scarborough for the traditional Fishermen vs Firemen Charity football match on the beach, followed by the ever-entertaining raft race around the harbour. Afterwards, indulge in some local fish and chips as you walk along the promenade, perhaps finishing off with an ice cream despite the chilly weather!

Back at Cliff House, challenge the family to a game of pool or table tennis in our games room, then unwind and celebrate the day at our local dog-friendly pub, just a three-minute walk away.

For Christmas 2025, we’re offering 4-night breaks starting on Tuesday the 23rd —whether you want to come early and get settled or arrive closer to Christmas, the choice is yours. And new for 2025, we are offering a week as well starting on the Saturday.  For New Year, we’re offering 3 and 4 night breaks, starting on Tuesday the 30th. If you’re after a longer stay, feel free to get in touch, and we’ll work to tailor your holiday to your needs. Please note that bookings for Christmas and New Year close on December 1st, 2024.

As a small family run business our aim is to offer modern, friendly self catering holiday accommodation in our range of 5 self catering holiday cottages.  Set within 2 acres of gardens, with one pub just 3 minutes away by foot and others just 5 minutes drive away, plenty of country walks and an indoor heated swimming pool there is lots to do without the need to go far.
