APPLE COTTAGE
APPLE COTTAGE
Apple Cottage is converted from the laundry and apple store of Cliff House, a Grade II listed manor house, set within 2 acres of grounds (Apple Cottage sounds so much better than Laundry Cottage!).
Recently redecorated, including locally sourced fabrics and crafts, this perfect little cottage comprises a private entrance to ground floor with a fully fitted kitchen and dining area. Double bedroom with bedside lights and blackout blind. The first floor has a lovely, cosy lounge with views of the garden, including the bird feeders. Small bathroom and WC. Full gas central heating. Dedicated parking for one car in our private gravelled court yard. Guests of Apple Cottage have access to our indoor heated swimming pool, games room and gardens, (complete with lovely lavender lined path to our Orangery), as well as use of our WiFi. Apple Cottage also has access to our newly installed (2023) electric vehicle charging points.
Each of our cottages comes with route cards for local walks, a map and binoculars so that guests cab get the most out of their stay at Cliff House.
Apple Cottage welcomes one well behaved dog and has a shared enclosed garden space with Pear Loft.

GREAT LOCATION
Just back from a fantastic week in Apple Cottage at Cliff House Holiday Cottages. It’s such a great location as you can easily get onto the North Yorkshire Moors or the Vale of York. The cottage was clean and comfortable, a lovely welcome pack awaited us, which was really appreciated, and the friendly owners live on site, so are always around if you need them. – PAULA

OUR COTTAGES
Being near the coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough, as well as the market towns of Pickering and Malton, we are well sited for visiting the best that the Yorkshire Coast and Countryside has to offer. We are also very handy for such attractions as Flamingoland near Pickering and the Alpamare waterpark in Scarborough. For more information on what to see and do, please visit our “What’s On” page.
York isn’t very far away, you can either drive or park up and take advantage of the hourly train service from Malton.
A perfect day trip is to be had on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, which can coupled with some time in the market town of Pickering. To the east there is the beautiful Yorkshire Coast with the seaside towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and Whitby all close at hand – all offer something to do throughout the year.
