A VERY WARM WELCOME TO
OUR FAMILY HOME
Hello!
We are Jacqueline and Alastair and with our family, along with the cats and our dog, Udal we took on Cliff House Holiday Cottages in March 2020. Our timing could have been better as 2 weeks later we were in to the first lockdown of the Covid pandemic! But…in many ways it was an opportunity and we made good use of the time to work on improving our self catering holiday cottages.
In that time we’ve added play equipment in to our two acres of grounds, made woodland walks and improved the area around our indoor heated swimming pool by adding a decking area with seats and a new shower. We’ve created a meadow and have made the big switch to using eco-friendly washing and cleaning products to do our little bit for the environment. In our five dog friendly cottages we’ve refreshed all of them with new art on the walls, added new bedlinen and towels and used local fabrics as throws for the beds and sofas. In every cottage we supply local maps, walking guides, bird spotting books and binoculars to help make the most of your stay.
Did we mention that we had an indoor pool? 🙂
North Yorkshire has so much to offer, its what inspired us to move up here, as a couple we have holidayed in the area for years and Alastair came here regularly as a child!. When we aren’t working in the garden or baking cakes, we can be found out and about exploring the countryside and coast with the kids, dog and cameras. Living on site, we will usually be around to offer advice as to where to go to make the best out of your visit to North Yorkshire. Don’t forget you can download our “Insider’s Guide to North Yorkshire” to help you plan your holiday in North Yorkshire.
We look forward to welcoming you to our family home.
