A walk to Jerry Noddle in Dalby Forest

Things to Do, Walking

At any time of year a walk out to Jerry Noddle in Dalby Forest (aka the Great Yorkshire Forest) is a nice relaxing and gentle walk.

A circular walk from Bickley Gate Car Park takes you along forestry access roads to the promontory of Jerry Noddle which sounds like the name of 1970’s pop band 😉 . Along the way you may spot the remains of burial mounds, a newly created bathing pool to encourage turtle doves and you definitely can’t miss “Winged Sheep Aedicula 2021” by the sculptor Fiona Bowley which stands on promontory. From Jerry Noddle there are fantastic views in all directions, the keen eyed may spot the top of the radar at RAF Fylingdales.

After a walk in the Great Yorkshire Forest, come back to Cliff House Holiday Cottages and relax in front of an open log fire in one of larger cottages or have a dip in our indoor heated swimming pool.
